This product is a Float Style Rotameter, a device that measures the flow rate of liquid or gas in a closed tube. This Float Style Rotameter has a robust Perspex body and an acetal base with three fixed feet for stability. It also provides smooth airflow and a steady reading because of the air inlet through the centre of the base. The screw-in hose-tail, which screws into the top outlet of the rotameter, enables the easy attachment of tubing into the rotameter.

Float Style Rotameter

This product is a Float Style Rotameter and it has a robust Perspex body and an acetal base with three fixed feet for stability. It also provides smooth airflow and a steady reading because of the air inlet through the centre of the base. The screw-in hose-tail, which screws into the top outlet of the rotameter, enables the easy attachment of tubing into the rotameter.

When you take a reading you need to ensure that the rotameter is positioned on a level surface. You can then take the reading from the top level of the float. Whoever is operating the unit should read at eye level and not from above or below which ensures that the accuracy is maximised.

There is an optional accessory for this product which is the Calidaptor 391-01. It is for use with the I.O.M single and seven hole sample heads. The front face of the sample head seals against a soft foam pad and it is clamped securely in place to allow for hands free calibration.

All rotameter models in the 393 series meet accuracy class 2.5 to VDI/VDE 3513/2. Accuracy at a given flow reading according to VDI/VDE 3513/2 is given as - F = [(0.75 x M) + (0.25 x E)] x (C / M) where - F = Accuracy at measured flow rate as a percentage of measured flow rate M = Measured flow rate E = Full scale flow rate of rotameter C = Accuracy class
