This is the dBadge2 Pro Dosimeter Kit which is a great tool for a large variety of workplace noise assessments and also campaigns. It also has the added benefit of wireless connectivity which will increase productivity and confidence. The Pro kit boasts an Audio Recording option as well as Octave Band Analysis.

It has been specifically designed to make the process of noise exposure metrics easier. The dBadge2’s concept captures every possible noise exposure related parameter during a measurement run and then makes it available for subsequent download and analysis. All you have to do is choose which you think is the most relevant parameter to display on the screen. The original dBadge® has proved to be an invaluable tool in monitoring personal exposure. However the dBadge2® represents the next generation and builds on well-established must-have features and usability.

It boasts a ‘multiple simulated dosimeter’ capability which will allow you to display noise exposure results according to the different regional and international protocols. The dBadge2 also takes advantage of the OLED display as it colour-codes the D1, D2 and D3 data in order to help review in the field but also with an ability to define colour coded alarm values. This is a Pro model which means that you have the option to use audio recording which is enabled/disabled in the dBadge2 configuration menu. The audio recording option has the ability to store fifteen seconds worth of voice notes when a measurement run is started which are easily controlled using the left and right hand buttons. Recording the employees name and the task (as an example) adds valuable information for audit purposes. It also provides the facility of being able to record the actual noise that is associated with triggered events as defined by user-settable exceedance and parameters based on 1 second SPL or LPeak or LMAX profile data. Octave Band Analysis allows more information to be available on which to base important control measures and help with the choice of hearing protection. Overal LEQ and LMAX values are displayed both on screen in graphical format and in table format when downloaded. The dBadge2 can be custom configured by and downloaded to a PC using the Docking Station and Casella Insight Data Management Software. Once it is downloaded, data can be stored under a worker’s name, location or process so that a database or noise exposure can be built up. The dBadge2 is available as a complete starter kit with everything that you require to get up and running. A kit includes the dBadge of your choice; Standard, Plus or Pro, a CEL-120/2 Acoustic calibrator 3-way combined Docking Station and charger, universal mains power supply, USB cable and Casella Insight data management software, all encased in a kit case that is fully capable of carrying 10 dBadge2 products, and also up to three docking stations.
