Socket & See SP200 Professional Proving Unit
This is the Socket and See SP200 Professional Proving Unit and provides a cost effective and convenient way of proving the safe operation of two-pole voltage testers (including test lamps) and multimeters. It should always be proved that any system is dead before commencing work. As recommended by the HSE, two-pole voltage testers should be proved on a known live source or proving unit both before and after use.
It is the first proving unit to generate AC waveform for a true test and it has a compact design which encourages routine safety checks and there is an automatic test function to conserve batteries. The step voltage LED's indicate voltage being generated 50-100-230-400-690V. There is a low battery indication which gives ample warning for when you have to replace the batteries.
