Types and Classes of Sound Level Meter
The majority of sound level meters fall into one of three categories. Any instrument with a “Class” status rather than “Type” is an indication that the unit is compliant with the most recent standards.
Class 1 Sound Level Meters
Class 1 meters offer greater accuracy, which is especially important for any legal proceedings to cite noise levels as evidence.
